Installing The Combine Utility
1. Exit your Library 1.7 program.
2. Download the file (Combine95.exe), saving it into a new folder (Temp under your C: drive).
3. Using Windows Explorer, click on "My Computer."
- Click on your Local disk (C:) and then on the Temp folder.
4. Double-click on "setup.exe" to install the Combine utility (take the defaults).
- If you get messages asking if you want to keep newer files already on your computer, click "Yes"
Using The Combine Utility
1. Make a backup copy of your databases before using the utility so you can revert back to the copy in case you make a mistake using the utility.
2. Be sure Library 1.7 files are closed.
3. Using your Start menu, select "Programs" (or "All Programs") and then "CROSS Applications" and then the "Combine Utility."
4. To operate it, select all the names you wish to combine on the left by holding the down the Ctrl key while using your mouse to select them and then select the name on the right into which you wish to combine them.
NOTE: If you encounter an error using this utility referring to "VBAJET32.DLL", please download and install this Microsoft fix-pack.
